How to- Survive an ALLIGATOR attack

(This is Killer- the gator that greets you as you pull into the ranch he is small only 4' long. I can never get a picture when he is all the way out of the water so this will have to do)

The Floridan's advise to us- on how to deal with the Alligators.

1- If there is a gator coming after your son-- Run straight at the gator's head "Most" of the time they will turn and run off scared.

2- If you do get bit by an alligator- DON'T pull your hand out of their mouth... wait until they re-open their mouth and then pull out. This will result in only holes in your hand rather than a shredded hand.

3- Always check the Swimmin' Hole before entering the water

4-Always go with your dog to get a drink out of water in a field-- if not, you will no longer have a dog.

5- When moving cows in a pasture ALWAYS follow the cows through any water and swampy spot or serious problems will occur.

6- 'Most' of the time gators don't wander too far from their water hole - BUT if you come upon a water hole almost empty or a gator searching for new water- GET OUT OF THEIR WAY.

What great advise they give to us- Don't you all feel safe now!

you know i always heard to run in a zig zag because they are too fat to turn quickly, but that other advice sounds great too ;)
