Calves

I have been horrible at taking pictures during calving and usually when I don't have my camera is when something cool happens.

Cinch LOVES when the babies have to come to the calving barn or we have to transport them with the 4-wheeler, Big Red.

He loves to pet and love on the calves

I love how cows have "nurseries" 5-10 cows will group their calves together, some will go off and eat some will stay and watch over the group.

On cold days the calves are usually bedded down in the longest grass or piles of hay their mom's can find. On warm days, their sprawled out on a hillside soaking in the sun.

These pictures are really that great or do them justice- but baby calves are just as cute as puppies- I could watch them all day long.
