This week was dedicated for some BIG steps for Cinch.
1- Going to sleep by himself and sleeping in his own bed.
2- Potty Training
Item 1 has gone pretty well. We have been lazy or just to tired to care about good sleeping habits for Cinch. But he is just too miserable to sleep with and wouldn't lay down and go to sleep in his own bed since we moved. I am happy to say that 95% of the time he stays in his own bed all night now. And we just sit in the rocking chair in his room while he lays in his bed and goes to sleep, there have been a few night when he has went and got in his bed on his own and bed almost asleep before we get there for prayers.
Item 2- Better than expected. He has done really well and staying dry during the day and nap times. As long as we take him every 1-2 hours we are golden. The luck of the draw- he won't go outside- which is a bit of a BIG problem considering we aren't around a toilet really too much during the day- but overall we can't say potty training has been too bad.
The Family Branding was this week but will be a post of its own.
We found out that our foreman would be taking a 60 day leave of absence. Meaning.... Well we are kinda in charge for the next 60 days- people over us passing down the to dos and checking in but us doing the work. It was a horrible first 7 days that he was gone because 1 of our 2 interns was gone to a wedding, the 2nd intern was on a different part of the ranch helping AI( artificially inseminate) cows and our hurt guy still hurt and Merle gone on vacation. So that left us 3 to rotate and look over 4,000 mamas and babies, 3,000 yearlings and get bulls sorted and turned out to the right herds on time. It was long days --
Thursday of this week Daniel had to go help on one of the of the other units AI so he was gone for a full day (3am- 10pm) So Cinch and I were busy busy that day.
Church came and we had to speak in sacrament meeting on the Atonement. Didn't really have too much prep time but it came together in the end. After church unfortunately it wasn't a lazy Sunday, we had to work to make sure all the cows had water and plenty of grass.
Overall it was a great week for Cinch as he will tell you he is a BIG BOY now!
