Pulling Bulls

This week we had to pull bulls out of our heifer herd. Their breeding season is done- they get a 30 day window and then the bulls work for the year is done and they can go eat and get fat again. Wednesday we took the heifers to their new pasture and left the 30 head of bulls. So Friday morning it was Cinch and mines job to go gather them up and push them to the corrals. We usually split up in the morning so Cinch doesn't have to get up at 4:30 with Daniel and well some has to stay at the house while Cinch sleeps-- so I take that hard job of sleeping longer. The bulls were only about a mile from the house so it worked out that we could just ride to the bulls. We got up and going and when we got to the pasture and rode to the highest hill to see where the bulls were we found this...
Daniel and our dog Ruf gathering them for us. Daniel had done all his morning stuff so decided to come help us- which we don't complain about too bad. We got the bulls out the gate and head down the mile lane to the corrals and Daniel went to find the 6 that were still in hiding- so Cinch and I pushed them the rest of the way.
Well really Cinch does all the work around here.

With the help of his horse to keep the cow/bulls/heifers moving he can do anything because sometimes he gets distracted and needs a snack from his cantle bag

But Santiago just keeps the bulls moving while Cinch eats his snacks and drinks his jucie box.
It was a good move and there weren't too many bulls fights

That we had to break up... which is good because I don't like to get in the middle of 2 men arguing over the girls or who has the bigger muscles.
