"What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories." --- George Eliot

Biology 1010

No doubt about it- Ranch kids learn the facts about life- many many years before city kids. There really isn't to many ways around it- I guess my favorite part is to mix their curiosity into the mix of their knowledge.
*** If you fainted during dissection in school or have small children viewing... probably skip to another post***

Friday at the branding this crew of kids were having a great time running wild and exploring- until they found an abnormal piece of male anatomy- being ranch kids- they decided to dissect it. I just happened to be the bystander laughing and snapping the photos- it made the school teacher in my come out and wish that when my high school students who dissected chicken wings could have shown half this much interest.

The ring leader telling the others to find a knife... We need a knife

The best part- all they could find was a dull saw blade to use as their scalpel

So thats what it looks like on the inside- I wonder what was it wasn't normal.
They were pretty proud of their work and kept poking and talking about it. I couldn't help but laugh long and hard about it. Maybe they are future Vets or Biology teachers.
