Canada Double Portition

A cool part of living in Rural Nebraska is the christian faiths that are still allowed in the school and towns. Prayers are said before sporting events, play practices, etc. It's been really neat for us to experience different religions. Daniel experienced it on his mission in California, but growing up in Utah there were only a handful of kids that weren't Mormon that I went to school with. If you drive along highway 2 in Nebraska, every small town, 10 miles apart from each other, has at least 1 church. In Hyannis where Cinch goes to school, and only ~200 people reside there are 6 different churches. Faith and religion is strong out here.
The other day I saw "Canada Double Portion" posted on the local Facebook page. I looked over it the first couple times, but then finally goggled what it was. Come to find out, they are a christian family from Canada who tours throughout the US every year, preforming for free, spreading the good word.
I decided even though it was a school night, we needed some cultural event even if it meant a later bedtime.

It was awesome. They sang from their hearts, even down to the 2 year old. It was a sweet spirit and good lesson that even if we don't go to the same church on Saturday/Sunday- we all believe in Christ.
Cinch clapped away with them, and Chauncey even stayed focused for most of the event.

The radio stations are very limited on the Abbott Unit so we actually listen to the Christian Radio station a lot. Good scripture verses through out the day, bible stories for the kids and music without profanity. It's fun to hear the "Mormon based artist's" play on it every once in a while- and hymns rocked out in cool versions.

Even though we live in the middle of nowhere, we can still attend cultural events- and the plus side God is still in our schools.
