Thanksgiving with the Daltons

Back in August, Daniel & I came up with the idea to invite his whole family out for Thanksgiving. So we wouldn't be alone and we could have something to look forward to.
Well the planning started- but with Daniel's mom's cancer returning we weren't a 100% sure of it until a month before.
But, it did happen and everyone made it.
Everyone being
Daniel's Mom & Dad
Grandma & Grandpa Krieger
Daniel's 3 unmarried siblings
(Kyle, Kalee &Jared)
Daniel's older sister Melissa's Family

Mom & Dad arrived Saturday Night
Grandma & Grandpa Monday Afternoon
And the Siblings Tuesday Evening

It was VERY VERY cold while everyone was here unfortunately-
but we sure did enjoy having our house actually feel "Full"
Good Food
Tours given
Cows/Calves Caked
Calves Worked
and Memories Made

I learned along time ago that when these siblings get together- you had better be ready to laugh - tease - and go with the flow.

How many kids can your horse hold?

Cinch snuggling with Great Papa K

Three kids a horse back can be hazardous to your health-
but luckily Buzz Lightyear kept it under control

For Thanksgiving Dinner- I FINALLY used my china, only had it a LONG time.
It was so fun to unwrap it all and set the table.

We are blessed to have a BIG table that I only see filled with cowboys-
It was nice to see family members fill our dinning room - along with the Elder's from our branch
14 at the Big table
3 at the kids table
& the Littlest playing near by.
We even talked the boys into serving pie since we did all the cooking.
And what better way to let your dinner settle, than roping!

Cinch let Dalton share his horse.
Cinch LOVED having his cousins here, especially Dalton and wanted to do everything Dalton did.
We even talked sweet Emma into getting a horse back, and that smile shows it was a good experience.
And the 3 boys-
Working off their first round of dinner preparing for the second.
It was a Thanksgiving to Remember for sure.
Everyone went home sooner than we had hoped-
and our big house seemed pretty empty
and we grew tired of Cinch asking where everyone was.
But, hopefully we can have more visitors soon.

I like Cinch's Buzz Lightyear costume even at Thanksgiving time!
