"What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories." --- George Eliot

The long drive

We are alive and here at the Rex Ranch in Nebraska.
We left Florida Wed. Night at 6:00 it was a whopping 81* out. I drove til midnight and Daniel drove til 3. We took a nap at a rest stop on the Tennessee/Georgia border for 3 hours and mushed onward. We drove to Carthage,Illinois that night and spend the night in a real bed. Friday we toured Carthage Jail and Nauvoo until 5 and hit the road again. We drove until 1am and then took a nap at a rest stop in Nebraska until 6:30- then up and at 'em again. Arriving at the ranch before noon.

So here we sit trying to adjust to the 2 hours time change and -5* outside. A big change in the last few days. Loving our time out here so far but so anxious to get back home. Only 10 hours left! It's sad when you celebrate being 10 hours away.
