"What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories." --- George Eliot

Chauncy Webb Blacksmith Shop

The blacksmith shop in Nauvoo was ran by my great great grandpa Chauncy Webb's family. It was really neat to know I was standing where relatives years before worked. It was really neat to see the inside and watch the senior missionary make us a little horse shoe and give us our prairie diamonds. It was really neat for us because Daniel shoes so many horses and usually we are along to help him- but to see the work that it took back then- especially getting all the wagons, oxen and horses ready to leave Nauvoo.
