Island Park Part 2/ Krieger Reunion

After a weekend in Utah we headed back up to Idaho. The drive didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped and my dvd player wasn't working. So- Cinch looked at lots of books, played with any toys I could safely get my hands on and then started screaming. I hoped after 20 minutes it would put him to sleep-- It didn't. The only thing that I could think of was to sing to him. So we started on any primary song that I could remember. But after all those he just wanted the "pop pop" song. So we proceeded to sing with actions popcorn popping on the apricot tree for the next 20 minutes. He loved it and the crying stopped. He got the popping action down really Good. Finally we made it to the last 2 miles to the Ranch where he can get out of his seat. He was so excited and so was my voice to no longer sing. We were happily greeted and then needed 'more nack' and 'pop pop song'.

We had many adventures while up in Idaho. We helped/watched Papa Matt cut down a really BIG dead tree and then drag the tree parts to the burn pile with the truck. Cinch thought it was great because 1- we were outside 2- he got to help drive the truck 3- he thought it was amazing to see the tree drag being the truck. He would stare out the back window and tell it to keep coming. He also got to be a big boy and go with Papa and Jared one morning when I was felling crappy from my cold and help fix a tub in a cabin and cut down more trees. They said he was a great helper and didn't cry once. It was awesome to be able to sleep a little bit as well.

Then came the weekend and the 1st Annual?? Krieger Family Reunion(daniel's mom's family). Not as many family members made it as we hoped but it was a great time. Grandma made delicious meals. We all won MANY Prizes--- well just for being there mainly. Sarah & Kalee made up a great scavenger hunt with candy-- board games, card games, and well loads of fun. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling to well and headed back to Utah a day early to try and recover before traveling with Cinch. But before I left I got my favorite birthday cake- German Chocolate (no worries mama dixie.., my other mom took care of me this year). It was hard to say good bye especially to Daniel's mom- To see her that sick and be this far away is hard. But hopefully we filled her with enough kisses, ate enough snacks, and told her 'no no no more kisses ma' until December. It was a great second week in Island Park especially to see even more of the family members!

Daniel's dad always amazes me the games he plays with the grandkids- and ALL DAY LONG! Between doggie pile, being their horse, going to walks, playing ball he should of slept good when we all went home!

Papa the Cow horse-- Practicing our cutting skills and

our herding skills.

I want to ride too Papa!

It was FREEZING cold in Island park. Another good pre-winter snow storm.
