Cinch was very excited to get started back to speech class. He went 2 of the 4 times offered this summer. It was harder because it was at the district office which is 2 hours one way from the house.
There had been alot of confusion and uncertainty where we would do speech this year. They had threatened to close the rural school we go to- and also because our house address is in one district and the house sits in another district- its been complicated.
School had started and I hadn't heard from Miss Meggin his teacher. They had re-opened the rural school but I wasn't sure if I'd have to fight the district boundaries. So I started doing Nebraska Law research to see "our rights."
The first week came and went and still nothing. At church on Sunday Cinch heard the other kids talking about going to school and he started crying because he wanted to go back to his school, so I knew I had to call Monday morning.
Luckily, his teacher beat me to the call Monday morning- and Cinch's speech time is Wed at 9:30. Which means we have to leave the house a little after 8:30-so we have made it on time so far.... throw a new baby into that routine and we'll see how on time we are come December.
Cinch's speech is always improving and growing. He's matured and can sit for about a 45 min session now. And one of his favorite parts is the other 6 kids that attend the rural school are at recess when he gets done, so he get to play with the big kids.
