The past few weekends we have been doing "staycations." Earlier this year we had planned 2 pretty big trips for our little family but we've used our vacation days and money for other things so we are trying to have fun just at home.
Last Friday night Daniel and Cinch decided about 9:30 that they would camp out. So they set up the tent and out they went.
They had so much fun that they did it 3 nights total.
Last Saturday we went to Lake McConaughy to play at the beach.
It was a great afternoon. Daniel found a shady spot and sunny spot for us so I could sit and watch the boys play. It wasn't quite as nice as the beach/ocean in Florida but still an adventurous afternoon.
Cinch had watched Sid the Science Kid on PBS the day before about rivers and lakes so most of the time was spent making rivers and lakes and watching the water run down them back to the big lake.
