At the beginning of the month we changed Cinch's crib into a toddler bed. It took a little work since his crib was a custom made - handi down- but we made it work. The only real concern is that it is still really high off the floor - like 22" so a pretty good fall if and when it happens. So we put a couple pillows down on the floor and haven't worried about it.
The first night of his big boy bed- we heard the fridge open at 4 am. He was thirsty and wanting a drink. Didn't quite know if I liked the idea of a roaming child.
Since then many stories have unfolded. He loves to come get us out of bed at all times of the night to play trains or get a snack---
The best is probably the positions you find him sleeping in.
A normal sleeping child....

A little boy who didn't make it all the way up the stairs to our rooms (a frequent finding). We'll hear him start to climb the stairs and then if 5-10 mins have past we(as in Daniel, after I elbow him) goes and puts him back in his bed.

Tonight was one of the best. He wanted to go to sleep by himself--- GREAT! But when we went to check on him it was a little concerning, he wasn't in his bed, he wasn't on the pillows on the ground, nor on the stairs.... He was UNDER his bed fast asleep!

Yes, he uses the chair to get into his bed and don't mind the stuff stored under his bed.

Camp Out Anyone???
Sweet Dreams- from wherever sleep finds him.

Jesse, He is the cutest thing! Just make sure the front door is locked or he may decide to go on a midnight ride! haha
Haha! We often have snacks at all hours of the night...I even found Koen downstairs once trying to turn on the TV to watch a movie @ 3 in the morning...
That crazy buckaroo Cinch! Wish I could fall asleep anywhere in the house like he is doing! What a funny kid. I love it.
