16 Adults + 27 Kids = 1 Big Party

Not many people know that I am the youngest of 8 kids- 8 kids spreading over 19 years- if you do the math, my oldest siblings could have easily been my parents, well they are like parents- in a different GOOD way. Growing up I was never sure which category I fit in- the grown up or kid. Up until I got married I was in the kid, after all the oldest grandkids are only 5 years younger than me and well my closest sibling is 5 years older. Being a kid was always easier than an adult until those teenage years and then what- To want to be old but still want to play?? I never really did conquer that question. It wasn't until we got married I finally started to feel like I fit in the grown up world- but with Daniel (being a bigger kid at heart than me) we still didn't- but I've come to decide we will most likely be in both worlds and I love it. I love to run and play with the kids and then have a grown up conversation- Learning everyone's parenting advice and well how to deal with teenagers. Luckily enough we fit into both worlds again on Friday, we got together with my immediate family- 16 adults and 27 grandkids (minus my parents in Africa). To fit that many people in a house well- is almost impossible right now with 6 of those grandkids at their terrible 2's. Lucky enough one of my sisters work at the Peak in Brigham and got a deal for us to go play during closed hours- it was a fun time by all!
There were rope swings, trampolines, rings, zip line, balls, and well lots of more things. When you get all those crazy minds together things get wild.
This crazy one- she could be mine- I was there when she was born- but I'll let her mom keep her for now.
And well this one..
And this one could beat me in any dance off- but they are pretty amazing rope climbers- Dancing it's good for those legs muscles.
And these two- they are mine. Thats right bop 'em on the head.
And while he looks like he is lending a helping hand.... I think it was more like yelling at poor Dylan because he is too close to his dad.
And this one... I'd take him to-- that smile will get ya every time.
Action shot- at least Daniel was ready this time and Cinch didn't jump on his head.
And then there is those crazy brothers of mine- they have to prove they are lean and agile and even better- send out emails warning each other about the mean game of dodge ball they better be ready for.
And then my boys decided to play rodeo clown and bull.
And then Dad got to tired of playing the bull.
This one- she is now VERY much taller than me. I'd die for those legs- but only so they could be on the ground- I'm not up for this fancy drill team stunts- just the extra 3" of legs would do me good.
And then my little man got brave enough to do the zip line- but I missed it on camera and well- as you can see, he wouldn't do it again.
How dare I bother him to get a picture- it was valuable play time with his cousins.
And then in their fathers' footsteps they have to tease. Her long legs almost had them beat but
They did conquer and threw her into the foam pit.
And they like to pick on Daniel- or is it He likes to pick on them- No one has beat him yet- but I am sure it will happen one day.
It was an awesome Holiday Party. And while the kids probably had more fun than the adults- Daniel, Cinch & I had a blast mainly because... we fit in both worlds, at least for a few more years.
