We were blessed to have Daniel spend a week at home prepping us all for the summer months away from Texas. Chauncey was able to stay home from day care for the week. They ate lunch with Cinch at school a couple times and visited me as well.
May 18th-
Daniel, Maggie, and our summer needs besides mine and the kids' clothes made the 18 hr journey to St Johns, AZ. It was hard knowing we would be away from each other 3 weeks to begin with and that I would be in a state, without any family close by holding down a job. I don't mind playing "single mom" for days- but weeks is another story.
Packing wasn't too fun. Everything had to go, I only left 2 suitcases to fly with. All the toys, kitchen needs, bedding summer needs while we would be in Utah & Idaho. Plus a couple of boxes to put in our storage trailer.
Daniel made the journey and saw some very desolate country through TX, NM and AZ. Only one wrong GPS lead turn that made the trip longer but he made it without problems.
He went right to work, helping with spring work of branding and gathering the cows in the big red dirt country, loving every minute of it.
The only internet was available was the library and with the 2 hour time difference we didn't even face time that often. Quite a few days by the time he was free in the evenings I was too tired to talk and we went to bed saying good night via text messages.
