I've grown to love and hate Nebraska winters. We'll have snow for a week or two and then it will leave and warm up, and then it comes again.
The only problem I have with Nebraska winter- when it's cold- it's cold.
There is more humidity in the air here than Utah, and when the wind gets to blowing- it cuts to the bone no matter how many layers you are wearing. Our cows and calves have been handling the last week and a half of cold well. I did feel a little bad for our Baby horse and Daniel today. They were out moving the yearling heifers to new pasture and when I caught up to them in the tractor I'm not sure who had more icicles hanging.
