We woke up and I was excited as could be about going home.
We had breakfast- which was so nice to be the last day of continental breakfast. The breakfast lady unfortunately was not nice or friendly, which I found odd after being there for so many days.
We got dressed, packed up the last things, double- tripled checked around beds and in drawers. And hauled what we had to the truck and waved GOOD- BYE!
We did some quick V-Day shopping at Wal-Mart and then Cinch insisted we drive through the zoo one last time to tell the animals bye.
The awesome play ground at the zoo
We took back the fun airplane blow up pool toys the Provost family had lent us.
And then had lunch at Ashli's to wait until 4 pm our planned departure time. Lunch was great, but the boys were tired and anxious to get on the road. Daniel said there really wasn't anything going on at the feedlot so we decided to leave at 3. We hooked up to the trailer and loaded San Man up and hit the road-- luckily with a tail wind this time around.
We drove and drove.... Chauncey was not a happy traveler, maybe he was just too tired, or maybe it was the loss of his Binky.
We made it to North Platte, NE to the grand opening of our neighbor's boy outdoor sporting good store, 10 minutes before closing.
And then back in the truck to home, arriving at 11pm. Oh how good it felt to see the house, let San Man out with the rest of the horse herd and let the dogs go to run.
And man our beds felt comfier than ever.
