Cinch at Lakeside School
Tuesday's are officially a school day around these parts. A few weeks ago we had Cinch's speech tested and found out that he needed some help to get to the level he should be at-
So the Lucky little man gets to go to school for an hour every Tuesday and work one on one with the speech therapist.
Does Cinch like school? Yes!
After the first day of testing, we drove away and Cinch asked if he could go back to school.
He likes his teacher Ms. Meggin and usually asks every morning if it's a school day.
In the short 3 weeks we have started, it's made him try harder to talk and want to talk on the phone ALL day long. He is always asking to call someone. Even if it's not the sound we are working on- he is becoming a little jabber box.
The cool part about Lakeside School is that it is K-8, 2 room school
Currently there are 7 students, 5 in 1st grade and 2 in Kindergarten- with 2 teachers at the school.
Pretty amazing class size ratio.
As of now Cinch will be 1 of 3 students his age.
The town of Lakeside consits of the school, small post office and mechanic shop. It's a thriving metropolis.
The only downfall- the school takes 45 minutes to get to, and yes that's the closest school. There aren't any buses that run to the school, only to the High School which is further away-
The district just reimburses the parents their mileage.
Right now it's great because Tuesday is just my Grocery Day.
When Cinch starts Kindergarten- well it will be a bigger commitment, but that's the trade off for the lifestyle we live.
But surprising enough at age 3 it is documented that
Cinch Loves School!
Lets hope its the same in 10 and 15 yrs from now.

Tell Dan if he wouldn't tell so many stories Cinch could get some more words in! JK. Glad he likes school!
Hey I love the pic! How's the drive to Lakeside once a week? Is it helping you with your decision to home school?
