Daniel and Cinch went for an adventure last Saturday.
They decided to try their luck at ice fishing- and had a blast.
We live right by a National Wildlife Refuge so people go fishing there all the time, but on the ranch we have a "private" fishing hole at Black Steer Lake.
Mitch & Merel mentioned to Cinch on Thursday that they were going fishing.
Cinch asked ALL day Friday and Saturday if it was time to go Fishin' yet. We were happy they could finally go fishing because they last 3 weekend people went fishing we were in Utah & Idaho.
Daniel said Cinch was in heaven, he got to help dig the ice out of the augured holes, fish, put the "too little" fish back in the hole. And there was even a Buzz Lightyear fishing pole for him to use.
They fished for a good 2 hours - and Cinch didn't want to come home but he slipped and fell into a puddle, so they had to come home.
Daniel said it was really cool to think 6" of ice was holding you up from a deep lake below.
They caught quite a few different types of fish- but I don't remember that stuff.
It was a great afternoon for them-
and an especially productive afternoon for me at home.
