Well me made it to our new house in Nebraska. We left last Monday morning around 7:30 and arrived at 7:30pm that night. We were lucky enough to have lots of help that wanted to make the drive and to also help us load and unload. Daniel's Grandparents pulled thier big enclosed trailer with all our house stuff and we pulled our 4 horses. Daniel's parents and our friend Bill came along also. The drive wasn't too bad except for the snow, rain and wind. Cinch did great- Bill was a good enteratiner in the back seat- when he was awake that is...
When we pulled into the ranch nobody quite believed that we got to live in this big house- but we do and love it. The horses and dog were pretty excited to get out of the trailer for sure. Monday night the boys had everything unloaded out of the trailer and alot of our stuff in the right rooms. Daniel's family and Bill stayed til early Wed. morning and headed back to Utah/Idaho.
Tuesday morning Daniel was off to work- and well we haven't seen too much of him since. We got here rightin the heat of calving season. And to make matters worse the cowboy over the first calve heifers (first baby for them) had gotten hurt so Daniel is taking care of the 3 year old herd and helping with the heifers and an intern is taking care of our cows. So pretty crazy time right now - but we are loving it!
Cinch has pleanty of room to run and play and the dogs don't have to be chained up anymore. The horses well they are probably missing the time off- but are getting back into shape pretty fast.
One of the other best parts for Cinch is no matter where we go off the ranch there are TRAINS- everywhere.
I wonder if he'll get sick of seeing them- but so far not at all.
Sunday we made the drive to our Branch in Alliance. It takes a little over an hour one way. The branch was welcoming especcialy once they found out we weren't interns and that we are full timers. We actually meet in a little chapel that is only a couple years old. Probably 50-60 people in the branch. There were 2 different investigating families at church with the missionaries so I am sure we will have pleanty of missionary moments. We had packed a lunch to eat on the way home- but luckily it was pot luck week and we were invited to stay even though we hadn't brought anything.
As for now Cinch and I are finishing decorating the house and exploring all the old barns and finding some good treasures for sure. Monday we went to work with Daniel and it was a fabulous day- will be even nicer once we are over our own cows and don't have to drive so far to take care of the other herd.

RU sure it's not oklahoma with the wind sweeping down the plain? Next question is has Cinch gotten lost yet?
Congratulations on making that long drive! I'm so glad that you made it safely. Of course Dan is going to jump in and do 3 guys work right off the bat--no big surprise. Good luck with the calving. I'm glad you and Cinch get to help. Keep us posted!
What a fun adventure. We sure take for granted how close the church is here. have fun! and make the most of every opportunity :)
That was so nice of grandma & pa K. to do that...I wonder if they will do it for us and Alaska ;) I find that funny... Hope all is getting situated.
