-L Branding

This past Saturday we spent branding with our good friends. We had tried to do it the week before but got rained out. We had to wake Cinch up early- but as soon as we told him horses and cows he was wide awake and ready to go. Both Saturdays we trotted out to gather the cows & calves and Cinch was happy to be on a horse ride but as soon as he saw the cows he started yelling and hollering at the cows. He loved pushing them up the hill to the branding area and would wave his arms and yell at the cows to keep moving.
Daniel roped great-- I am pretty sure it was because he was roping on MY saddle :). We branded all the calves then I helped Daniel rope a cow to doctor it for foot rot. Cinch took a little nap in my arms- but was way too worried about missing anything that might happen. He was also foundering on the doughnuts. It was a way fun day- if you like the smell of hair burning ;)....
