"What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories." --- George Eliot

Pipe Organ

I had the opportunity to be a Lutheran for the day. The lady whose piano students I transferred for the remainder of the school year is the Pastor's wife/organist at the Lutheran Church. She asked if I could substitute two weeks while she had her baby. The first week I wasn't able to because of the Primary Program at church and I didn't want to miss Cinch.
This week I was able to. I will take playing the organ any day at a Mormon church. There were so many songs, tricky timing, no chorister and just following the program to start and stop.
I did it and it was awesome to play a big pipe organ.
The set up made it hard also, you are up above the congregation in a loft with your back facing the pastor. This handy mirror helped me part of the time. It was a very different service than what I was used to, but a learning one at that.
