We had our first Ranch branding this past week. While there has been lots of neighbor brandings, the Pawlett usually marks the beginning of the Rex Ranch branding month. There will be 5 less brandings on the ranch this year because of ranch de-stocking. Cinch had a great time as usual. Chauncey enjoyed it as well, he is just a busy body for sure.

Chauncey and I headed to get him out of the backpack. After gathering the cows a horse back with him and getting the branding going- it was time to give my shoulders a break.
Busy body running crazy. Luckily he fell asleep for a nap and I was able to vaccinate for a couple hours.

This kid never stops, and usually has most of the cowboys laughing with him.
Cinch had an official job for the 2nd group we branded that day. He drew an orange mark on the calves noses after they were vaccinated- he took this job very serious.
Bubby- always smiling at me and loving on Chauncey.
Let the month of fun begin- it will be even more fun after my meal is cooked and served and I don't have to worry about that anymore.
