"What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories." --- George Eliot

A school Update

Cinch celebrated 100 days of pre-k this past week.
Since the beginning of January we have been making small steps to help Cinch be more prepared to Kindergarten next year.

1st of all- he has started riding the bus back to Lisco at the end of the day. He stays after school an extra 45 mins doing the after school program and snack time and then rides the bus 20 minutes and I pick him up and drive the last 30 mins. He has really liked this extra kid time and enjoys the bus. I was nervous for the bus at first because it's welcome to kids K-12. But Cinch has a mediator that rides with him, and he is in the front seat in a seat belt safe as can be. Probably 75% of the time Cinch has the bus to himself, very rarely are there 1 or 2 other students on it. This has really freed up my days so I can come home and get things accomplished without being stuck in Oshkosh all afternoon long.

2nd- We changed speech time. We tried to move it to after school, so he wasn't missing class time, but that interrupted his "social" hour- so now he goes a 1/2 hour earlier M & Thursday for speech

3rd- His been bumped from 2 days to 3- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday are now school days. It's taken a couple of weeks for his body to catch up to the new schedule, and the time change didn't help. I'd be more concerned but he LOVES school days and is learning so much.

Its crazy to think he'll be gone all next year to school. Depending on the day Chauncey either really misses him - or enjoys having all the toys and house to himself.
