We have joined the rest of the "human race" so to speak. We are in Garden City, Kansas for 13 days while Daniel does a cross training at Deseret Cattle Feeders (the company feedlot).
We have high speed internet- no satellite Are able to stream movies and not eat up a whole month's internet allowance. Used Pandora for the 1st time... that was really cool. Target, Wal-Mart and Sams Club are all in the same town!
Yep, we are living the high life. Only downer is that our lodging is a hotel. Sweet at night for swimming and breakfast in the morning. Bummer during the day as there isn't much for the boys to do. Luckily enough- our good friends, the Moore's, are here for a few months so Ashli and I are re-living my Florida days of her keeping us sane.
Yesterday we drove down with San Man and 5 calves in tow. Not to bad of a 7 hour drive. Went swimming and then to Sams club. It was honestly the first time in 3 years that I could browse without 1 or 2 shopping carts full or supplies and a list of other stores I needed to get to.
Today we went to play group at the library. Cinch did really well and warmed up to the strangers quickly. A lunch date with Ashli and kids at McDonald's and more playing at another feedlot family's home.
Daniel made it home from work. The work "commuter" van drives him to and from the feed lot daily. It was really weird to not have him around at all today. More swimming tonight and browsing at Target. Cinch and Chauncey are enjoying the browsing of the toy isles, that never usually fits in the time frame.
