Many Miles + A Wedding

Well, the morning after branding we were up and on the road, Destination FAMILY for Daniel's brothers (Kyle) wedding on Thursday morning.

The drive was a drive, Cinch kept telling us that it was "too far" to GranDixie's house where we would be sleeping, I agreed most of the time. We hauled 3 horses back for a friend that is moving to Nevada, so that made the trip a little longer. But we made it!

We got everything settled in and relaxed.  Kyle came to spend his last single night with us, which was fitting. I was joking with Daniel on the drive that when we got married almost 5 yrs ago, I knew Kyle would always be with us until he got married. We've spent many miles traveling together, he lived with us while he tried college and we fight and love like brother/sister not in-laws.
It was a fun last night to sit and talk with him about his future and his "Brittany".

Unfortunately/Thankfully he informed me we were supposed to wear our wedding clothes to the temple. I thought we only had to wear them to the reception- and I was unprepared at 1am of wedding morning.
We went to bed and I prayed could pull this together by wedding time of 10:30am.
Luckily my parents had picked up the white skirt I needed, but I still needed a pink shirt. Nebraska doesn't have clothing stores and with calving I hadn't finished my on line shopping.
So we leave Elwood at 9:15 to get to the stores that open at 10 and hopefully to the temple by 10:30.
In the end it worked out but I was STRESSED!

We dropped Cinch off to Bubba and Kalee and headed in the temple. Their sealing/ceremony was beautiful and both of their Angel Mother's were there, you could feel them so strong!

After that the pictures began, here are some of my favorites from the day,

The "Best Men" with the Groom

Kyle with his loving sisters

After the pictures we ran Cinch up to the Nelson Girls to play while we enjoyed the luncheon childless. The luncheon was held at Bluebird and Delicious.

After the luncheon it was off to Hasel Valley/Snowville for Kyle's reception. It was a beautiful slight chilly evening. The West Desert Trio +1 Played and Kyle even danced!!! with his new bride. There was a money dance as well,
Daniel, Cinch & a Puppy Dancing with Brittany

After the dancing the bride and groom were back to Providence Inn for the night and we went back to Elwood to SLEEP!

Friday we got up and I got my hair cut and colored, Cinch got to play with Hazel and Daniel ran errands. After some pizza with the Archibald crew, we were headed to Idaho for another reception.
We stopped in Hagerman, to pick up stuff from Daniel's dad's new home and headed to Carey, Idaho for the event.
Right Before the Carey, Idaho Reception

It was an even nicer night and the "best men" even stayed in line 2 hours and 5 minutes! Daniel said by the end of night him and Bubba had their speech down right. "I'm the older brother, I'm the younger brother... Yes we have 2 sisters, in the pink over there with Curly hair and brown short hair." I giggled after I heard their practiced speech.
Cinch loved the night- he played on the trampoline ALL night, roped people and talked his 2nd cousins into playing bucking bulls for him.
They cut the cake, garter toss, bouquet toss and clean up and it was nearly 10 o'clock with 3 1/2 hour drive back to Elwood. But what a special night.

Saturday we were up and at 'em and back for a morning nap. Then up to help with a fencing project for my parents. We also got to meet up with some Friends from FLORIDA. They are doing training at the main office in SLC and so we were able to meet up and watch the kids play. It was great since we hadn't seen them in 1.5 yrs. Cinch also got to play with his cousin Dylan as well.
The fence project didn't go too smoothly so Daniel decided we'd go home Monday.

Sunday we went to church and then picked up a horse we were bringing home with us, visited Daniel's old employer and since we were in town- attended Poppy Mae's B-day Party and then visited with my brother Matt's family.

The best gift of all a wagon!

Monday Daniel was up at 6 to get work stuff sent in, and then out working on the fence. The fence went ALOT better but we still weren't able to finish it...
But it was time to go, so we loaded up the furniture we had adquired, clothes, horse, dogs and all of us and were on the road for the "too long" of a drive home, the drive went good and we made it home at midnight.

It was a GREAT few days to spend with families. We drove over 2000 miles in those days (sigh) and our bodies hurt but that's what you do for family!
I'm no longer the only sister in law or daughter in law in the Dalton family- but thats the way it should  be.
