He's a Fish

This past weekend we had Stake Conference in Rapid City, SD- 3.5 hrs away
So we decided we would go up Saturday night for a MUCH needed Sam's run and stay the night

All week long Cinch talk about going SWIMMING at the hotel he was so excited, he would ask if he could bring along his 'wagon' like when we went swimming at the ocean- a little confusion as to where we were going swimming

We made the drive up and ran our shopping errands since we were around big stores
the only bad part was that the Sams Club was moving to a new building in 5 days- so they were only 1/2 stocked! I wasn't too happy because we had come all that way to go to Sams and they didn't have everything on my list.

Anyways, Cinch kept asking WHEN he got to go swimming. He knew of our list of things; pack clothes, drive, go to stores, eat dinner and then swim.
So he would tell us on his fingers when it was time to swim.
We grabbed take out and headed to the hotel,
they gave us a dirty room the first time- so we got a small upgrade for our room for the night.
We were trying to eat dinner- but Cinch was much to excited.
He unpacked the bag- put on his swim suit- and gave us both our swim suits.

We finally made it down to the pool, which was pretty full. We had to hold Cinch back while we got off our shoes and jackets.
And then he turned into a fish!
He loves to swim under water- a little nerve wracking but he is a great swimmer
Down and
Up
down and swim
He is a much braver swimmer than me!

Stake Conference was good. It was VERY long. We got a new stake presidency and also were scheduled for a satellite broadcast- so we heard from the old stake presidency, new stake presidency, satellite broadcast and then visiting authorities!
Our bums were very sore by the time it was all over- Nothing like sitting for 3 hrs of church in one spot.

After it was over we jumped in the truck and headed home- a big storm was supposed to hit and Daniel wanted to be as close to home as possible when it hit. So we snacked on our packed lunch and drove away.
We hit the storm about 90 mins from home- but better there than 3.5 hrs away!
It was a WONDERFUL weekend getaway- except Cinch wants to do more swimming- too bad all our lakes are still iced over.

Holy Cow, he is a good swimmer! We put Katy in swimming lessons...it was joke. She just hugged the lady the whole time...well I guess by the end she was jumping in very timidly.
