Heavy

The 1st Calf Heifers are looking HEAVY
Translation- Our first time mamas as looking big and pregnant
I feel bad as they come slower and slower to the cake truck daily-- I remember that waddling stage and can't imagine what they feel- just plain uncomfortable and ready to BE DONE!

They will be done soon enough- we have 2.5 weeks until we starting calving.
And then in a whirlwind of 30-45 days we'll have 952 Baby Calves running around.

We'll have 8 Senior Vet Students from Colorado State and 2 Interns come and help calve
We pray that the vet students won't be too busy doing c-sections and pulling calves and that it will all just go smoothly!.

While the vet students are here my job is to feed them 3 meals a day- I get paid- but it will be ALOT of work for a month, hopefully I have it planned out good enough so Cinch & I will still be able to spend the majority of our day outside- or we'll both pull our hair out.

Springtime is coming faster than we know it- I can't wait to see all the new baby calves running around!

I think I'd be grateful they are calves and not children!!! :)
Good luck with the people feeding too!
