Finals are DONE!!!
Yea-- can you believe it Daniel is done with his 3rd year of college A HUGE accomplishment for a kid that said he would never go to college. And even better is that he won't have to sit in a classroom until Jan 2010! We stayed up late last night finishing his 10 page paper REDO-- long angry story we won't go into :) and studying for his big final today which he got 81% on class average 71%!! GOOD JOB DANO.
Our lives haven't slowed down at all the past 2 weeks. A few of the happenings have been--- I help with State FFA Convention for 3 days- Once a state ffa officer- always one- especially when most of them are teaching or have real jobs! It was stressful but alot of fun to see kids that were Freshman when I knew them and now seniors getting awards. It was also the first time that all 6 of my officer team members were together. It was fun to catch up- but would have been LOTS better if Cinch had helped out and not been so miserable.
We also had a family party with my family. We got together for the usual spring hot dog roast and even had mom and dad join us over Skype. It was good to see everyone and they were nice enough to work a little bit to help with a gravel project so daniel & I didn't have to do it all.
Then this past weekend found us in Island Park for a Girls Retreat with daniel's mom's side of the family. We made hair flowers, learned to paint, made scripture bags, watches and ate YUMMY food. And celebrated Kari's (dans mom) 48 Birthday!!! The boys had their own little retreat. Daniel, Cinch, Matt (d dad), Jared (d bro), Dalton (d nephew), Grandpa K, and Kacy (d cousin) went to yellow stone and saw the buffalo. Daniel said Cinch LOVED it. He would yell at them out the truck window, tried to run after a buffalo during the picnic, chased ground squirrels and clapped for Old Faithful. The boys were surprised how well Cinch did and I was glad he was able to go else he would have torn the cabin and crafts apart.
So between all our functions and finals week we are finally sitting at home and can relax with some deep breaths and not worry about what homework is due.
