Refuge Days

This past weekend the National Wildlife Refuge that borders our house had a big celebration. The first one in the 3 summers we've been here. I was happy the boys got the cows and heifers moved by noon so we could go. It was an awesome FREE Saturday full of fun, Bill was here to visit (we hadn't seen him in over a year!) and we all enjoyed....
-Free Lunch
-Folk Music
-Reptiles galore
-Fire Trucks
-Medial Helicopter
-Air Boat Rides
-And More!!

Cinch was in heaven pushing EVERY button in reach.

The Nurses were in love with Chauncey! They let him play with all sorts of medical stuff. It was really nice to visit with the crew and make up a plan in case we had a medical emergency- being the closest ambulance is an hour out- these guys are only 20 minutes. And now they know how desolate/remote we live and gave us a direct number to call if needed, which we hope to never call!

We luckily had one of the wildlife officers driving us, that Daniel had rode a horse for,

so he gladly gave us a ride of our lives.

It was an awesome afternoon away from the cows and we're so excited to have Bill living only 3.5 hrs away! We haven't been that close of neighbors for way to many years.
