The week started out the same as usual but quickly changed when we picked Cinch up from Daycare on Tuesday. He had Chicken Pox! We had noticed a few bumps in the morning but blamed them on mosquitoes. Well as the night progressed on- more and more bumps appeared. Why chicken pox- you might ask. Don't know for sure. He is in the VERY small percentile that gets them even though he had the vaccine-but because of the vaccine it was a pretty mild case. He was a trooper and only complained and scratched at night time.
(He wouldn't let me get a great picture but he had, 12 head/face, 6 arms, 4 belly, 4 legs, 3 on the feet.)
So Wed & Thursday we had to switch my work schedule to accommodate with Daniel's school schedule to help with Cinch.
Thursday we Daniel's Senior Project evaluation by the faculty and then students & family could tour the projects. We made a brief appearance. Long enough for Cinch to steal the show. He walked right up to Daniel's saddle- wanted on, and then asked where the rope was (Daniel had taken it off to show the saddle off more) once the rope was in hand, he tried to rope anyone that was close enough. I of course had forgotten my camera but it was pretty cute.
Thursday also documented my LAST day of work and Cinch's LAST day of daycare! Yea!! We now get to pack, clean and get everything ready for our move.
Along with 2 tests and 2 presentations this week Daniel had been putting a 5th wheel hitch in our truck, with the help of my brother Matt. Daniel had to pretty much manufacture it all- because you can't buy a kit of our truck year and bed size. So Wed night til Saturday Morning he was working hard- But it worked! And we saved some $ from his hard work.
Friday Cinch & I both came down with allergy symptoms- runny noses, watery eyes, etc. Not to much fun. I had allergies when I was in grade school but not since and Cinch didn't have any last year- so there is something in the air. I think he took 4 baths that day between the allergies and chicken pox. We did go for a bike ride in the morning which was good. A little depressing that last year at this time I was riding 8+ miles everyother day and I could barely make it through 3 miles. I think I'll just blame it on Cinch's extra weight & height!
And well Saturday we didn't slow down either. We were up early to go pick up a horse trailer we bought in Blackfoot, ID & meet Daniel's dad with our mare Banita that he has taken care of since we left for Florida. After we got home- we headed to Logan for Baby Animal Days with the Archibald Crew! Cinch & Hazel had a great time. It was a nice day just a little too warm to fast.
While Cinch enjoyed the animals- I think the highlight of the day was riding the train. The animals could hardly keep his attention once he saw the train.
I am pretty sure these two, were the only 2 yr olds that knew how to ride by themselves.
After baby animal days we came home and got our Saturday house work done.
And well this morning- Cinch woke up with a swollen shut eye! He has had a week of it between the chicken pox, allergies, and now a swollen eye. Waiting to see if it gets better or if we need to go to the doctor.
Wow, what a week- I'd like to think things would get easier since I'm done working- BUT I know they won't so onward we go for another week.

Good Job Daniel on the saddle and of course we knew Cinch would steal the show. Darling little family.
