"What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories." --- George Eliot

A week full of it...

Well this past week has been full of adventures. Monday we were lucky enough to have Daniel come home early. His horse lab was canceled unless you wanted to practice catching and grooming the horses for the final. So he opted to come practice on our horses not the school's. Cinch was so happy to have him home early and they played lots. They rode Santiago, roped Harriot (the calf) the first bovine Cinch has really touched. Cinch also loped for his first time and just loved it- laughing and giggling the whole time.
(Not so sure about Harriot- he kept poking her eye out)
Tuesday and Wednesday was just preparation days for Thanksgiving. Which was a great day as well- with alot of my family around. Daniel played football with some of my nephews and Cinch played and played with the cousins. Later that afternoon all the kids were getting bored so Daniel went and saddled the horses and let them ride around. They all loved it- even though it was starting to get really cold and they didn't want to stop riding.
Friday we picked up our first REAL Christmas tree. And also hit a few of the weekend sales. Saturday we had a pretty fun day as well. We took Josie, DJ & Hazel on an hour horse back ride in Honeyville. Josie rode Goose- DJ & Hazel rode Santiago- Cinch & I rode Banita - and Daniel rode Blue. It wasn't the warmest day but we bundled up the kids and the grown ups too and had a great ride. Josie hadn't ridden for years and was having a great time trotting and loping around. DJ & Hazel did great for not really ever ridding before. Hazel was so excited to get on Santiago and then when he moved that was even better. Hazel can now say Cinch (pretty much) and they talked back and forth most of the ride.
We had planned to go to Ogden that night to see the Christmas Lights there with them- But... I came down with Food Poisoning and was sick and miserable the rest of the night. Those 10 pounds I have been trying to loose sure came of easy in 10 hours but I guess I like loosing them the normal way better. Daniel was great and took care of Cinch all afternoon and night. He even changed his first messy diaper... I was throwing up at the time and got brave enough-or felt sorry enough for me that he took care of it... but he informed me that it didn't mean he would change one again.
Today we just made it to sacrament meeting. I am feeling better but just weak. My parents get set apart here in a half hour and leave tomorrow morning -- so we still have a full night ahead of us. But we are excited to decorate our tree this week and get in the Christmas Spirit!!
