"What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories." --- George Eliot

Well this week doesn't seem to have been as busy- but probably. We started out week out my Indoor Soccer game Monday and finally picked up or basketball hoop at our cottage. It had only been there since May :). Didn't win my soccer game but it was good exercise.

Tuesday Cinch and I headed to my sister Jami's house for the day. She took us for a killer walk-- the hills killed my legs but Cinch enjoyed the walk-- well he must of because he was sound asleep by the time we got home. We helped Jami with some odd and ends until Daniel came picked us up after his school day-- which was just fun and eventful the best part- one of his classes were canceled.

Wednesday Daniel shod horses they were some killer horses- he was dead tired by the time he came home. Cinch and I just finished decorating his room- fixed his bumper pads and did a few more odds and ends. That evening Mom, Dad, Daniel, DJ, Josie and I helped shovel rocks onto a weed barrier blanket. It was HARD work. Hazel and Cinch were able to bond lots- they played- Cinch helped Hazel ride her first horse- Hazel tired to help feed Cinch Pizza for dinner and to top it off they even bathed together :).

Thursday Daniel dropped me and Cinch off at Jami's again. The project of the day Landscaping. Planting shrubs and perennials and as we went along we installed a drip system to water the plants. It didn't really look like we got alot done but we did lots of plants in the ground and even water to them.

Friday was me and Cinch's day to rest. Daniel and Kyle went up Blacksmith Fork for the fall gather. They were gone from 5am to 7 pm. But they had a good day horseback. Cinch and I really didn't do that much but play all day long.

Saturday & Sunday Daniel had the GREAT PLEASURE of feeding the school's horses at 7:30 am and 5 pm both days. If he didn't he would fail his class. So through lots of trips back a forth he got 'er done.

The last portion of this weeks entry is about the word "Cut-Over". You probably have no idea what the word Cut-Over is but anyone in the Baxter family could describe it as many different things - examples- Dad at work for 24 hours, Dad at work through the night- Praying the Cut Over to go fast and easy - Dad being tired the next few days. My dad did his very last Cut-Over of his telecommunication career this past Friday Night. A cut-over consists of putting in a new phone system usually in a hospital or linking a new building to the phone system. Through all the wire pulling testing every phone and the whole system as a whole it takes long hours which usually are done at night and the weekend because it is the slowest time. As I reflect on the word Cut-Over it will be truly odd to not hear it in my life anymore but yet I am very grateful for all those cut-overs my dad has done to provide for his family.

Well Fall is truly in the air here in Elwood- now if only the mosquitoes would disappear. I hope you enjoy the pictures and the updates of our lives.
